It
is a small museum founded by the Rukwa Regional Commissioner Engineer
Stella Manyanya to concur with the instruction given by the Prime
Minister Mizengo Kayanza Pinda during the function of Tanzania Cultural
Day, Rukwa and Katavi Community held in Dar es Salaam at Makumbusho
square last year 2012. The instruction by the Prime Minister went to
Rukwa and Katavi leaders to establish Regional Museums that will serve
together with tourism industry in the respective Regions.
Just by start, the Rukwa Regional Commissioner decieded to establish a small museum at his office as a steping stone towards the achievement of having a Regional Museum where later on will be shifted elsewhere as a full Regional Museum. The area has already alocated where in the future will be transformed into a Rukwa Regional Museum.

Rukwa Regional Commissioner Engineer Stella Manyanya working handly with carpenters in the process of establishing the Museum. It was not an easy task, this day it took over 20 hours a day to accomplish the initial stages of the Museum.
